Your Super Smoothie Recipe for a Healthy Bank Balance

Super Smoothie with words

Having a healthy bank balance.  It is a niggle.   Something that you know you should be doing.  It’s that nagging doubt at that back of your mind.

Something you keep meaning to get sorted but eek, I booked that holiday, argh, there were loads of birthdays to buy for this month, and shoot; the car service was due….

Don’t get me wrong, the bank balance gets healthy for a while, it happens now and again.  But it doesn’t really stick.

Worse than that you are scared that creating “it” (a healthy bank balance) will stop you living your life

You keep up with your life, living for the now, without talking to anyone about the things you would really like to do, the future you would really like to create.  You wish other people would understand that you would like to balance these priorities (in fact you secretly think they might think the same) but you never tell each other.

And even worse you are also scared that it wouldn’t take much to blow down your house of cards

The thing is you are not wrong, it wouldn’t take much.  But life does get in the way.  Having fun does need to happen.  What if you could find a way to create your healthy bank balance whilst still living a life you love?

(If you not yet living a life you love, then stay tuned, we will be working on that too!)

So what about you?  Let’s talk boldly for a moment…

Five boldly honest reasons as to why that healthy bank balance is eluding you

peeking-472480_12801) You haven’t worked out yet whether it needs to be a priority for you

2) You are living for now and the future looks so hazy you can’t see the point in saving anything away

3) You like being part of the gang who moans about not having quite enough.  It feels comfortable to know that it’s the system, or everyone is just like you

4) You work hard so you justify that you deserve to be spending everything you earn

5) You spend time saying yes to everything so you are always busy, (phew, don’t have to think about what is really going on with you). Your bank balance takes a hammering but you are

Recognise any of these?   The reason I do is that I see points in my life where I have limited my potential by believing everyone is just like me; or run myself and my bank balance ragged with keeping going socially, burning the candle at both ends.

So what changed for me?

Super Smoothie with wordsIt’s when you realise you need to bring looking after yourself into the mix.  A little bit of nourishment.   So here is the healthy bit.  (I think you going to like it, I love my food so I hope you do too….)

This is about a healthy bank balance.

Spending and saving in proportions that work for you.

It’s not about going on the latest fad diet (cabbage soup anyone?)

Just like our bodies everyone is different, and what is good for you might not be the same for someone else.

So this is time to create YOUR super healthy smoothie.  Your little bit of nourishment.  The recipe that means you live a life you love BUT are creating that healthy bank balance at the very same time..

(Sorry I said no fad diets didn’t I…).  Well I’m convinced you will find this one is so scrummy it will become your monthly habit…

Must have ingredients for me for my Super Smoothie.

  • A portion of splurge money
  • A portion of rainy day money
  • A selection of immune boosting future fun savings pots
  • And a sprinkle of “superfood” smart saves

Your financial fitness goal this week is to work out what makes your smoothie totally delicious to you.  What would your ingredients be?  Is there something far out, exotic or unheard of you want to add?  Do you want more of the plain old vanilla?  Have a go at creating a bespoke mix for you.

Let me know your recipe below!
